January 24, 201115 yr His comments said that it was a coaching staff decision, he possibly tore MCL on the last series of the 1st half. Tried to go in the 2nd half and couldn't, coaches pulled him. Even if the MRI reveals no tear tomorrow, Bears fans should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for ripping him without knowing the true extent of his injury and why he was no longer in the game. I have lost all respect for Maurice Jones Drew and any other person that questioned his toughness and said he quit on his team. Say what you want about his performance on the field, but to make comments about something that no one knew what was going on was ridiculous. MJD will say that he played every week until the Jags were mathematically eliminated with a knee that likely will require surgery in the near future. If anyone can question Cutler's toughness I would say MJD and Tom Brady are allowed to do so. I am not a Bears fan but if I don't know the extent of the injury all I know is our loudmouth spoiled baby starting qb didn't take the field for the 2nd half of the biggest game of the year. How should I react?

I'll give him a pass also if something is torn. Legends are made from guys who play through similar injuries but everyone's tolerance for pain and ability to play through it is different. I really don't like Cutler but I hate it for him if that is the case. Bad timing for an injury of that nature.
January 24, 201115 yr How has Todd Collins lasted so long in the NFL? The young QB did a nice job but the last player you want to see on the field in the championship game is your emergency QB. I think it just goes to show how difficult it is to be a QB in this league. Very few are capable of playing. Collins is the Eloy Vargas of the NFL.

I think there is a difference in a QB knowing the extent of his injury and having time to prepare to play on it. How many QB's have ever torn their knee up and continued to play in the same game they did it in? Didn't LT sit out the same game and I don't recall anyone hammering him for it. I don't really care of Cutler but if the MRI comes back showing a tear I think alot of people are going to be eating their words today. I know medicine has come along way with knee injuries but we are talking about an injury that could be career ending.
