Okay, who is "all that"? Who would you rather see driving the Camel Caravan?

Lickert won't do better than 7-3, and that's after he is able to manipulate the schedule to fit in a few cupcakes as he did at Holmes. The guy really is overhyped as a coach. Look at his overall record at Holmes and Dayton, and then look at his record (and scores of the games) against quality opponents (teams that are usually 6-4 or better)

 

You may be right; time will tell. Then again when you coach at inner city schools like Holmes, you have to spend a lot of time doing things other than just coaching and preparing your team for football games. Lickert shouldn't have to spend as much time with the non-football stuff at Campbell County, which should equate to better football because a coach has more time to concentrate on the fundamentals and game preparation. Plus, unlike Boone Co that creates a new high school to deal with expanding population, Campbell County has kept one high school and expanded it. If that continues, Lickert should have a very large student enrollment to pull football players from.

I hope that your #6 post is your last. To refer to any high school kid in this manner is way out of bounds. Especially given that this is based on second hand information. Very classy!! Where's a moderator when you need one? Stephen Lickert is a Class person and he would never view any player from any school in the manner you describe. Early indicators are that Coach Lickert is progressing very nicely in his new CC role.

Never met the guy, just repeating second hand information as everyone else does on this site as it is anonymous and nobody really wants people to know whom they are. My nephew attends Campbell and in two years will be a 10th-grader and I hope this Lickert is nowhere near what I have heard. From all I hear, there is no middle ground with Lickert. Most find the guy to arrogant and self-serving, some find him to be a caring young leader. I'll wait and see.

If you want to argue that Lickert isn't a great coach, fine. There's nothing anyone can do to change your opinion, although you're acting like he took over teams with top 5 schedules. But, that's not the point of my post.

 

I'll just say this, you lose all credibility when you say Lickert lacks class. If you've heard the opposite it's most likely from someone that Lickert didn't feel was doing a sufficient job and wasn't asked back. I'll say this, consider the source. You have MULTIPLE people on here posting that he's nothing but class and has done great things for kids, off the field and on. Somehow you have found the one person that doesn't think this. You, and him, are in the minority here. Prtety classy to get on here and bash someone you've admittedly not even met too.

What job was Lickert doing sufficiently, getting blown out by quality foes such as Dixie and others. And who is to consider Dixie quality.

Exactly what "bonds" do you have to Covington? So your wife is an editor at LCJ in Louisville, but you have sources (aka parents and teachers) in Covington. Do you live with her?

ok now lets get back on track. Like i said earlier time will tell and if he get involed in the youth program who knows what can happen. His history is now history he has to play the big boys and as some people are trying to say on here he cant run from them with the distric he is in.
