Per KHSAA scoreboard.

That is a lot of basketball.

Wow! In order for Bourbon to score 99 points, I bet Chris Gillispie had at least 40.

What is the longest game in KHSAA history? This has to be close! Would have loved to have been there. Just think, you had to have kids fouled out and subs and JV players finishing the game! Regardless of the level of play, it had to be great to watch.

I think I read in Maysville paper not long ago about a game MMI and somebody played several years ago that was the longest in state history.

Someone said this is the 4th longest in KHSAA history.

Someone said this is the 4th longest in KHSAA history.

-MMI beat St. Patrick in 9 overtimes in 1966.

-Paintsville/Prestonsburg went 7 overtimes in 1978; Lawrenceburg/Kavanaugh also went 7 in 1940

-Garrard/Boyle went 6 in 1983, Cumberland/Corbin went 6 in 1990, PRP/Valley went 6 in 1989

I'm guessing there might be more but those are in the KHSAA record book.

Dang I feel sorry for the officials.

I was not at the game so my only knowledge is hearsay, but I heard 6 players fouled out for Bourbon County. I also heard one Estill County player shot 29 free throws AFTER regulation. Was anyone at the game with better knowledge of waht was going on?

I said that Gillispie must have had at least 40. Looks like he actually had 51. He is the real deal for Bourbon County, and only a sophomore.

Well sure, it's easy to look good with all those extra quarters. :D

I would love to hear from someone that was there how it is that the two teams combined for 37 points in the final ot. Just seems odd to me.
