I bet Happy will try to reunite Becham with Johnnie Hamilton who were running mates art Ballard. Hamilton is already at Georgetown.

I'd say that would be a bet I'd be comfortable making as well.

I hope he goes to Bellarmine. That GLVC is a heck of a league.

As an attendee of many GC games, I'd like to see it. I believe that would be a total of 4 who played in the 2007 KY state title game (Beckham, Johonne Hamilton, Matt Walls and Rodney Haddix).

Haddix wasn't on that team, for the record. He was ruled ineligible before the season because of, if memory serves me, playing an extra middle school year (or something to that effect).

KSR has reported that Beckham, the Mississipi state guard is looking to transfer. The report is, he culd come to lexington to join the cats. He is averaging 2.9 ppg in 10 mpg this season for the bulldogs. I dont see any playing time for him this season, or next. :idunno::confused:

He couldn't even play this season if he wanted to and I don't think he could play next year either. It wouldn't matter.

I'm just saying, why would you take a guy on scholarship if he has no chance of playing, even in the future?

There are a lot of kids who want to come to UK. Doesn't mean UK feels the same way.

If he comes to Kentucky its going to be as a walk on.

Don't think he 'd get off the pine at UK. I still say he should go to Bellarmine where he could play (probably) and get a great education.

I was told about this last week. There is interest in bringing him on board but he hasn't actually met with Coach Cal yet (or at least he hadn't as of yesterday). Rumor is that he'll be enrolling at UK tomorrow and I have to think his role on the basketball team would be as a walk-on - but no one has confirmed that.

From UK's perspective, I wouldn't mind having a talented 6-5 PG who has SEC experience as a walk-on, but I'm not sure I'd devote a full scholarship to him. From his perspective, look at what Calipari normally does with talented 6-5 point guards...
