I just got off the phone with Birdsfan. He sounded really tired, and maybe a bit disheartened. They still have no idea why he's experiencing the recurring fluid on his heart, nor why he has cellulitis. He was able to give me a vivid description of his foot exploding.

 

Our friend Birdsfan is living an episode of House. They continue to run tests that come back negative. And now groups of doctors are coming in to discuss his case. I hope they have better bed-side manner!

 

Hang in there BF! I know you want out of ICU, but you're in the best place possible with the most attention you can get! Stay there and rest until they figure this episode out!

Thanks for the updates on our BGP friend! Praying the new year sees BF home doing battle with the squirrels!

I saw our friend Birdsfan a little while ago. He was sitting up and looked better, but he said he wasn’t feeling as good as I thought he was. He wasn’t feeling as bad as a few days ago, but breathing is a bit labored and I think he’s just frustrated with the whole thing. No news on what’s causing the problem is a big part of that frustration.

He wanted me to tell all of you he’s very sorry he hasn’t been able to respond individually to each of you like he’d like to, but he just doesn’t have the energy, plus it’s even more of a challenge having to do it with just a phone rather than a computer when you factor in his “oomph” level. He’s very thankful to all of you for the well wishes and prayers and wanted me to let all of you know how appreciative he is.

I will keep you all updated as often as best I can. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Hang in there....Everything is going to be fine.
