NKY Coaches Poll: Week 2

Featured Replies

Most NKY basketball fans pretty much ignore the 10th region teams. With that said, I don't know if Scott is a top ten NKY team or the 3rd best team in the 10th region. Scott's 6'7" center walked off the floor in the second half in the Mason County game and from my understanding quit the team. Scott has no height, next tallest guy is around 6'2". Gonna make things tough for Scott in the paint.

I remember watching Scott warm up at the Sorrell scrimmage and I was impressed by the kid. Was he getting minutes? I have heard that Coach Carr can be tough to play for.

Starting Center.

I think the top 5 will bang each other up this year.

6-10 all capable of pulling an upset or two.

Worthless poll with only 9 coaches voting.

Depends on which 9 voted.

Eight 9th region schools ranked ahead of the 10th Region's third-ranked team, Scott High School? I disagree.

Scott plays Holy Cross tonight, who is not even ranked in the top ten. Guess we shall see how good they are!

1. Dixie

2. Boone

3. Holmes

4. CovCath

5. NewCath

6. Ryle

7. Conner

8. Campbell Co

9. Brossart

10. Highlands

I don't see the point in ranking Dixie at #1. Everyone knows they'll do something to blow their first big game.

Guess this poll get shaken up after tonight's games.

They're first big game was the first game of the season which they beat Conner handly. They also have beaten Colerain, NCC and Campbell County which are all pretty big games in my opinion. Im not too sure they have beat a team by less than 10pts.

Dixie's W over CC is looking better tonight.

The Blue Colonels are looking extremely good early on. They just might be the best team in the region. Only time will tell.

Way too early for such a declaration.

Which is why I said "only time will tell". ..........

Dixie opened the season against the preseason No. 1 team in NKY, Conner. Big game for an opener.

They've also played Newport Catholic, Highlands, and Campbell County. Pretty good slate of games early on. Dixie may or may not be the best team in the area, but they certainly play a good schedule.
