Well as of right now it sounds as though you'd likely just miss monday, but they are talking about another system moving through next wednesday possibly.

The other system you are talking right looks like more snow for areas north of I-64. Freezing rain and ice south of I-64.

We just had thanksgiving break and don't need these snow days at the end of the semeser. I have students who need everyday in school to complete the work they need to pass 1st semester and not have to attend summer school or repeat classes.

 

I would prefer to not miss or at the very least only miss on Monday, if we have to miss at all.

 

I know some districts have the 20th and 21st as built in snow days. If they miss any this week, they will go on those days.

If you have to drive I would start as soon as possible. We are having a heavy snow squall right now in Richmond. The thing is the main snow fall is in Western Kentucky right now. Also there is a band of snow stretching from Frankfort to Louisville heading your way right now.

From what WCPO says the major part will be tonight. Just a dusting during the day.

There is another storm being predicted for around Thursday of next week. That one I'm really watching because of the very preliminary forecast of freezing rain and ice.

A warning is issued for NEKY as well, nothing but rain/mist so far today but temps are dropping and is 34 right now from 40 late last night.

1" to 3" pedicted late today and tonight, additional 2" tommorrow.

It is snowing at a rate of 1" per hour right now in Western Kentucky. Looks like that is what is heading for us.

I agree, Oldrambler. I can't stand the ice for a variety of reasons.
