November 22, 201015 yr He got 31 of 32 first place votes. They should take the other guys voting rights away.
November 22, 201015 yr This is very good news! It was interesting to listen to one of the guys from Colorado media, talking about how Votto did not deserve it as he never won a gold glove or the silver slugger. Both Pujols and Cargo did, so they felt Votto should finish 3rd at best.
November 22, 201015 yr Now the Reds need to lock up Votto for a long-term deal. The guy is a player and they need to return a little bit of the success Votta has brought to them. Although I do understand they have worry about the roster as a whole but he was the main catalyst for this team.
November 22, 201015 yr Just curious but who is actually able to cast a vote for the MVP? Was also curious if these ballots are posted anywhere so we could see how each voted...
November 22, 201015 yr Joey Votto is the first Red to win the NL MVP since Barry Larkin won it back in 1995 and is the 10th Red overall to win the award. Votto hit .324 with 37 home runs and 113 RBI. He also lead the league in Slugging percentage as well as OBP. Great year for Votto and congrats...
November 22, 201015 yr Very deserving is Votto. Wondering how some of these guys get the right to vote, one voter had Pujols #6.
November 22, 201015 yr Very glad to hear this news. Votto was certainly deserving and I hope we get to see many more years with him in a Reds uniform.
