Agreed but the problem is if they don't make a deal its ho hum no big deal. They have ZERO repercussions for the money that is spent. They can just get an "endless" supply.

It's also worth mentioning that India is one of our most intriguing international defense partners. It's my understanding that we run more joint operations with India than any other nation. We also have a tightrope to walk in that India is an ally, but we need their historical enemy, Pakistan, on our side in the War on Terror. And given that they are a nuclear power, England and France have just entered into an agreement to do some nuclear testing and Iran desires the bomb, it's a safe bet that there will be more than just economics on the table.

I doubt that we have rented out the Taj Mahal , It the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal third wife of the Mogul Emperor Shah Jahan and as such is an Indian national Monument . If it is being used for any event during this trip I dare say that the Indian Govt is hosting it . Now the Taj Hotel in Mumbai that is different . That is the hotel where the Mumbai terrorist attacks occured a few years back and renting rooms here shows the world that terrorism will never win .
