That’s why we kind of [inaudible] so to speak in that role, tried not to overpitch him, not too many innings. But I see him personally probably being somewhere in the back end of the bullpen. Because it’s hard to find a guy that can get righties and lefties out equally and that gas he has and you haven’t even seen his breaking ball and his changeup yet so his potential is unbelievable. October 27, 201015 yr The last time I asked Walt Jocketty if Chapman was going to start next year, he had a one-word answer: “Definitely.”
October 27, 201015 yr I honestly don't think they're sure what they're going to do with Chapman. If the pitching staff remains the same, I think he'll spend another year in the bullpen. But, if the Reds trade away a pitcher or two for a bat (which they should, IMO), then Chapman will likely find himself in the rotation. Long-term, he will be a starter.

October 28, 201015 yr I can see both sides of the coin. Ideally, I'd like to see Chapman in the pen. But if you can get a good bat in exchange for one of our starters, it's hard to turn that down.

October 28, 201015 yr Strasburg all over again. Says who?? Why can't he be Randy Johnson all over again. In no way am I comparing him to Johnson, but saying he's Strasburg all over again is ridiculous. And who is to say that Strasburg is a flop? He's had a injury, but he's still 23 I think
