Final.

Is Scott playing Highlands to 26 pts a moral victory?

The Birds need to shore up their XP/FG Unit. Blocked kicks, in back to back weeks, is not good at this stage in a season.

Just a ho hum game imo. Walked outta there feeling a little different. Great, and I mean great and beautiful facilities for Scott (well deserved imo) plus Scott kids played their hearts out against a very non emotional Highlands team. Probably good that Highlands was playing this game instead of a huge District game like tomorrows Dixie/CovCath game. For those that were there, what Highlands displayed was what the sports world calls a good ole case of "emotional letdown" after the big win over CovCath. Take note Blueboys, you could very well be in for the same dose of medicine tomorrow against a very capable opponent. No excuses from this fan, Scott just simply played with more emotion and hung in there the best they could. Glad that game is out of the way, time to get real busy and get focused for Ryle.

Several things I'm starting to get very concerned about at this stage of the season. Hopefully the Birds come out ready Thursday.

I saw the score and expected to read that HHS played mostly reserves to rest up for Ryle.

After tonights game , hopefully , there won't be any more 77-0 predictions. ( I know a lot of HHS starters didn't play tonight for various reasons). Like they say , a win is a win ! Go Birds !!!

This just in , sports book in Vegas is lookiing for qualified person to predict point spreads in high school football !! :D

Congrats to Highlands! I'm glad HHS had this game sandwiched in between the CCH game and Ryle rematch, to allow so many HHS players to heal up.

Credit Scott for playing tough and hanging in there, but Highlands did indeed play without several starters.

Gold, Seidl, and Compton were all out and I believe Devin Bruns played but not as much as he normally would.

For Scott, Sowder and #79 both came to play. Sowder was running wild all night and #79 was in the Birds backfield all night. He had 2 sacks alone in the first quarter.

Birds need to shore up a lot of things though if they're going to beat Ryle Thurs. A lot of dropped passes, mental mistakes, and penalties.

The O-line just never gets noticed :D, I believe they had 2 out.

Sorry center. I was next to the HHS radio crew during the game in the pressbox but never heard them mention any o-linemen out, which is why I didn't mention it.

Maybe that had a lot to do with #79 reaking havoc on the HHS front 5. That kid was absolutely everywhere.

BTW, Highlands o-line has to be one of the most fundamental groups I've ever seen. They communicate better than any other unit I've seen. Constantly pointing at who has who and they seem to know where eachother is going to be at all times. Big kudos to Coach Turner.

Jake True also had a big game running the ball last night. Scary to think he's only a sophomore.

Jake is a Junior.

There will be no more 77-0 predictions for this team the rest of the year, but I will continue to put the Birds in the W column. I do think that they need to sure themselves up mentally. This is not the time of year for mental lapses.

Scott had minus 40 yards rushing in the 2nd half. Eleven starters didn't start for Highlands. Go to practices during the weak before you criticize "our" team and see how hard they worked going into this game. If anyone wants to say they were non emotional, maybe the fan support could have been a little bit louder to help them.

You know not whom you are speaking to Grasshopper. Sweep has forgotten more HHS Football than you will EVER know. Be careful who you chastise.

Loud fan support, as more often than not, was lacking. That might have helped as Sweeps observations about the team's lack of emotion were on the money. I don't believe that will be the case come Thursday.

Someone mentioned that this team has seemed "off" since the Eastern game. I would agree with that.
