Let's get it started : What is everyone's take on PT @ LHC on Saturday ? PT's star is rumored to be out . How much of an impact will that have on PT's gameplan ? LHC is still undefeated but didn't look very good in district championship game against KCD on Friday , only winning 21-7 . I see LHC winnning in a close one mainly due to LHC's tough defense . Their offense was rather ho-hum against KCD , but a win is a win . This should be a good one and I am sure Mighty Mayfield will be watching this one very closely .

 

LHC 20 - PT 9 .....................

I am told that Josh Forrest, Paducah Tilghman's best player and a Kentucy commitment, was ejected for fighting against McLean County. He will miss the Holy Cross game and possibly the Tornado's first playoff game.

Holy Cross has had an impressive season so far. With Forrest out for PT and Tilghman having to travel 4 hours to Louisville it wouldn’t surprise me to see Holy Cross win this one. However, I’m going to pick PT in a close game.

So if the QB for PT is alot better now then he was when he faced Mayfield. And Mayfield won by three I think. Does that mean that if LHC wins by the same or stays within two or three points. Will that make LHC look as good as Mayfield? Will we have a tie for #1 in the rankings?? Or should LHC be ranked higher because the QB for PT is better then when he played vs Mayfield?

Hopefully LHC is more worried about PT than Mayfield, unlike many of the posts in this thread.

Should be a good test for both teams. I believe PT has too much speed for HC and they also have good size and strength to matchup with LHCs size... LHC has a shot simply because they're getting Tilghman at home after a 3 1/2 to 4 hr bus ride and losing your best player can't help, but, I still think PT has more than enough to get by... The one thing that worries you with PT is there inconsistency... They play like gangbusters 1 night and flat as a flitter the next...If they bring there A game, I think they win by 2-3 TDs...

It seemed to me like someone is trying to preface the argument for LHC to jump Mayfield in the 1A poll by doing the three team triangle comparison equation. If we beat PT by more than you beat PT then we are better than you. Sorry, but that argument has been shot down too many times in the past.

I'm gonna step off the LHC bandwagon for this game but I'll be back on next week.

I was thinking the same thing before reading these posts. With PT's star in street clothes for this game and the district already wrapped up, will the Tornado use this as a tune up for the playoffs (believe this is their last regular season game) or just mail it in. You would hope the travel would not factor into the outcome, if it does; I wouldn't feel too confident about that latter round of playoffs when they likely will travel back to Louisville for a game with Central.
