When you leave the game and have no recollection of any of the officials or their calls.

Then you are wanting a admin-not an official.

One who is consistant in his calls...

Those that keep their flags in their pockets unless a call is so evident that it leaves them no choice, but to throw their flag. Holding is like a foul in basketball, you could call on on every play if you really wanted too. Now, if you see a defensive player about get his jersey ripped off, throw a flag.

Another that ticks me off is the amount of pass interference calls you see. It's about like seeing walks called in basketball on pump fakes. Let the kids play. If one of them gets blasted before the ball gets there, and it's as visible as day and night, then call it. If not, let them play.

That's it for now.

Someone that calls the plays by the rules, knows the rules, and is consistent. An official is supposed to be a non-bias control (not a variable) that makes sure the players play by the rules.

A Good Official: A person who only calls fouls that are big & obvious and that have an impact; a person who remembers that the fans don't go to the game to watch them officiate; a person who physically and mentally prepares for each game regardless of the teams and location of the game; one who is a student of the rules and mechanics; and a person who acts professional on and off of the field.

No. Any official will tell you they don't want to be remembered after the game is over. The ones who do is where the problem lies

An official that dont make a holding call thats 30 yards away from a break away run when it has no effect on the play what so ever. Those kill me.

One that is willing to admit and correct an in game mistake and make it right.

Is that allowed?

Knowledge, consistency, and fairness. If that fails instant replay.

So True! When there can be discussion of the game (Good points and bad points) and there is no mention of the officials.

Know rules, mechanics and HUSTLE. It truely has been amazing to me over the 30 years I've coached and officiated how many officials don't know the rules, where they are suppose to be and what they are responsible for. So many are simply lazy and do not try. Officials in Ky need to be held accountable. They need to be rated by unbiased source. Also, I think officials should not call with the same crew each week. I think white hat should be given a game and individuls officials should be assigned to him.
