A Great Investing Decision

I've been so used to not having a car payment that I forgot to add I recently decided to get a new(er) vehicle and got a loan for it with very low interest. But, I'm averaging double payments and plan to have it paid off in well under three years. My other car had just gotten too impractical for us to take on the long(er) trips we enjoy.

As I said, I'll take debt when it makes sense to me and I need to. For this, I'd rather have a car we can depend on to get us out-of-state than to rent or always be worried. With the low interest I just don't see it being too much of an issue.

Truth-be-told, if it were still JUST me i'd probably still drive the other car until the wheels fell off. I never cared much about potentially having it go down on me while out-of-state and honestly I often hitched a ride with someone else going to the same place as me...or just flew. :D

Do you all use stop-limit sell orders on your stocks?

No. I would have lost a lot of gains had I had one for AAPL.

So essentially the "common man" doesn't have a shot at them with their opening price?

A lot of these popular IPO shares go to the major brokerages, which then decide which of its better customers will be rewarded with the right to purchase X shares at $25 -- and be able to sell them later in the day for $40 or whatever.

Do you all use stop-limit sell orders on your stocks?

Only if I plan to keep something very short term which isn't often.

Thanks. A friend of mine says he has it on all of his stocks but after talking to him I think he has money invested he shouldn't.

Has anyone researched 3 D printer companies? I'm thinking of investing in some long term stock for my grandkids.

AAPL is at 124.88 or $874 pre-split.

I have a small stake in DDD one of the bigger guys but it hasn't done well over the last year.

Yup, I'm still in, although I did sell a little bit (for a profit) over the summer.

Big week for earnings. Apple today after close and Starbucks after close Thursday are some notable ones for me.

Chipolte, GoPro after close today as well.

Anything anyone is looking forward to seeing?
