July 23, 201511 yr My friends Dad bought 5000 shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp (LVS) stock when the economy was struggling back in 2009 for $2 a share. My friend told him (his Dad) he was nuts for investing in a casino when times were so tough. His Dad sold the stock last year for over $80 a share. SCORE!!!
May 19, 201610 yr Author Nothing much positive last few months. Buy on the lows. Just bought Activision Blizzard. Bought NXPI a while ago. They have the technology used in the majority of smart phones that allows for things like Apple Pay or Google Pay plus in smart cars like Tesla. Hit a snag early but now up about 8 or 9%. It's a long hold.
