NKY Frosh Championship

That would be a shame because CCH deserves a 2nd shot at HHS. Campbell squeaked by some really bead teams that CovCath has or will pummel.

I would like to see CCH put it altogether in a HHS rematch.

Some of those games were played mostly by second and third string. A win is a win

Don't understand. What part of their game not "put together"?

HHS domanited CovCath and every other team they've played and will take on anyone and win

It doesn't matter if they squeaked by alot. a win is a win

Agreed...but CovCath is by far the better ot the 2 teams.

Highlands won this game with superior special teams, 1 long TD run, and a few costly turnovers by the Colonels. Take out the long punt return TD, and the ONE big play for Highlands in the 1st half and it's a 7-0 CCH halftime lead. In the 2nd half, a couple of INTS gave HHS favorable field advantage as did the special teams all day. There will be some adjustments on personnel on special teams as I was told. That and CCH gave the Birds a short field twice in the 2nd half which led to the 2 put the game away TDs.

I would just like to see a rematch. Last year CCH outplayed HHS in the 1st Frosh game, and could never punch the ball in the endzone with numerous chances, and end up losing in OT. In the rematch HHS had improved and CCH barely sniffed the redzone. Teams obviously can improve or regress over the course of a month.

I'm with ya on the rematch thingy. But the nonsense of take away this play and that play. C'mon! Please! I could say the same thing with take away CCH's BIGGEST play of the game when they were about 3rd and 15 on their own 20 or so in the 2nd qtr and they connect on a slant type pass play and go one to score after about 6 more plays. Take that away and they are shut out. Don't play these games. I assume you are better than that.

Hopefully HHS and CCH can play again later this month. It should be a good one as this will be a rematch of schools with arguably their best teams in some many many years. Well 4 years for HHS anyway. Good Luck my friend!

Wrobleski had a 90+ yard run in the second half. How was this a short field?

I agree with ya. I usually don't play the "this play" or "that play" game. I guess when you are a former Colonel with a son who is going to be a Colonel soon you want this series to get back to where I think it should be and that is.... a tight game every year, and most feel this is the class for CCH to do it. They didn't play their best. Of course the Birds had something to do with that. Wishful thinking on my part for them to avenge this score.

Either way, I do think when Varsity ball rolls around for these guys it should be fun...at least more fun than it has been since 2006, and the banter can start again between the two sides. Both teams are very talented.

It is always a lot more fun when CovCath is good..It makes BGP a much better place..

That was half-way through the 4th when HHS was clearly in control and CCH had essentially lost all vigour they had built up earlier. Nice run though.

100% agreed....don't know how you guys don't get bored on here without a little competition. Besides Dixie winning that one year, CCH is the only NKY team I am aware of that has beaten you guys in the last 15 years. Conner in 93' is the last team I can think of.

Interesting. NCC is on the HHS schedule for 10.21 at HHS. What happens if they are playing in the small school playoffs?

Also, any further insight into what might happen to the scheduled "large school" championship on 10.28 if HHS makes it given that the varsity plays Ryle on FoxSports Ohio that same evening.?

Dont think it really matters since it is my understanding that NewCath has already cancelled this game. Someone correct me if I am wrong here, but I think they are not playing this game. This would give the Birds a chance to maybe call Trinitys Frosh and see if they have an open date to fill the void. LOL Go Birds 20n10

Keep dreaming; Coach Mueller gets the most out of his guys and they improve leaps and bounds compared to what other schools are able to do; until parents and players quit blaming coaches and get totally committed to getting better each and every day, the gap will only continue to increase- you'll see Friday in Ft. Thomas; they played HHS close too as Frosh!(although I wouldn't classify this year's 36-7 score as close).

Hopefully you didn't just jinx your CCH frosh boys. Go Camels!

This seems to be a common theme running through Cov Cath related different threads for the past year or so. I hear a lot about this class or that class, but not much about the system. This frosh class is a really nice one for CCH, but what about the system? What's in place to ensure more than just a couple years of improved results?
