I spoke with a few people close to the Holmes' program and they said that while Kevon is no longer apart of the basketball program, there's still a chance he may end up with the team.

 

There's a few things that he needs to do first though to get in good grace with the Holmes coaching staff.

 

I guess we'll find out in about two weeks when Holmes has their first scrimmage.

 

Also heard that sophomore Quan Palmer has been very impressive for the Dogs and may end up starting. He has been getting a lot of reps with the first team. Englemon hasn't been to work outs, so I don't know if he'll be with the team or not. Both Coston and Peterson will join the team after football season is over.

I spoke with someone very close to Kevon last night and they're telling me that Kevon will be enrolling at Dixie on Monday and the paperwork will be sent off then to grant eligibility for this coming season.

 

IF true, this would definetly be a huge boost to an already stacked Dixie squad.

If Chevalier takes him he is nuts. Nothing like busting up the chemistry with a big team player like Rice.

Kevon has had his issues over the years, but there's no denying the kid is talented.

 

I think playing with a true pg like Trammel could really improve his play.

 

Adding his athletiicism and size to Pike, Muntis, and Stansberry down low instantly makes them the region favorites IMO.

Lets see, kid attends hs, makes the basketball team, then gets kicked off said basketball team, then wants to transfer to another school and of course it isn't due to wanting to play basketball.

 

Honestly if the move was made prior to getting kicked off the team, maybe just maybe I could buy into it but the move only coming after he was kicked off the team and less than a month later the family is moving?

 

I could care less if the entire family moves out of said city, if the KHSAA allows this move, then the KHSAA and the transfer rule is a bigger joke than I thought! No way is this anything more than a move to get him on a basketball team.

 

Even the KHSAA can read between the lines on this transfer attempt, if it indeed happens!

So if he is Dontel's brother and they move what does that mean for Dontel as a member of the Holmes squad? Does he now have to pay tuition to attend Holmes or is it a split situation where this scenario really doesnt matter?

I can't see any way where he would be ruled eligible for any school outside of Holmes.

You just might want to look at Sec 3) Specific restrictions resulting in denial of waiver: I would think A) and C) just might apply.

A & C are both subjective. How can anyone prove either one unless they (the parents) actually state that is why they are moving.
