Cooper got out played and out coached ! SK played a great game no way Ryle will beat them if they play like that. IMO Cooper looked lost out there I also seen a coach push and slap a kid on the side line . They better be glad that wasnt my son , I would have jumped the fence on that one . Maybe if Borchers had some older coaches insted of collage students the kids would respect them more ! Looks like to me they need to start taking some of the blame instead of yelling at the kids on the side line >

I think Cooper is still a couple years away I think they need more players. They need more depth.

Eliminate penalty's and do a much better job of not breaking contain. Cooper had a play where the DE on the left side tracking a QB towards the right went right into persuit mode and essentially allowed the QB to turn and make a play opposite side of the field. I looked at the guy next to me and said "that was 11 yards against Cooper and would've been a TD against Trinity, you just can't make that kind of a mistake especially when everything up to that point in that particular play was flowing in SK's favor. Team needs to be more disciplined as a whole and they need the O line to just get down right NASTY, they've improved alot, but T will be in and out with players subbing so unless they can gash for 10-15 consistantly it would be a LONG LONG day for SK.

SK is getting better week to week. O-line is more cohesive. Linebacking corps is fun to watch. Receivers present a host of options for Lawrence.

 

The Bradley kid was fun to watch. I could see Swanson flying through the air from the opposite endzone. On the other hand, Powell delivred a blow to Bradley that was also very tough. SK was able to keep him in check with first getting him wrapped up and then the other guys coming in for the finish. He was rarely solo tackled.

He hasn't played in a couple weeks elbow injury.

Ya but it was the fact that he hawked Bradley, and went for the tackle, Bradley pulled him in front of him and then trucked him. How can you not be impressed with that.

 

On a side note later on in the game Bradley tried to stiff arm someone around the corner and it looked like the person grabbed his arm and went to the ground with it which was pretty affective and I got a kick out of it.

 

Trust me, Jared knows I'm in his corner. He did all that he could do, but he had no chance at bringing him down. I'm glad he sacrificed himself, even if looked bad for it. Once Bradley got hit, he was done. Simon Kenton kept the pressure up and Bradley couldn't do anything about it.

 

Also for a team without their head coach Simon Kenton looked great.

 

Simon Kenton's strength has always been run defense. I saw nothing to lead me to think differently.
