Something seems wrong with this

This thread is a great example as to why BGP has turned into a Northern Ky only site. Highlands is a great program and deserves the ranking they have. However, on BGP you will be ridiculed if you state anything otherwise. There was a thread last week asking why BGP diversity has diminished (it went away), this thread is the best answer.

Has it occurred to anyone that there may be AP voters voting a certain way just to cause a stir on BGP? Controversy sells!

I'm not from NKY and think its a very legitimate question. Highlands is the reason why Bowling Green has scheduled up the way they have in recent years.

Without a doubt BG has a premier program. But with all respect to them -- believe that HHS is on an entirely different level - than anyone else.

What I am saying is one reason BGP has become an increasingly heavely weighted Northern Ky site is due to the fact if you say anything negative concerning Highlands (not much negative IMO), you will be publicly ridiculed as ignorant. With this sort of response waiting, many just leave the site which leads to an even more Northern KY weighted situation.

I understand your perception on this, but the thread really doesn't have anything to do with Highlands. It is a spin off of the thread from last week where one of the AP voters voted BG #1 and how that doesn't make any sense. Additionally, it goes back through the years where the AP couldn't even get the right teams in the right classes.

 

If you want to talk further about the direction of BGP I will be glad to do so with you but it needs to be in a PM.

 

Back to the question, BG was safe this week but Hoptown and Central Hardin getting a #1 vote? Oh brother, zero, and I mean zero credibility for the AP...

I was confused on the Hopkinsville vote. It looked to me like Highlands still had 210 points (at least on the one I was looking at) and 21 votes. That would seem to be unanimous. The only other implication is that whoever voted Hopkinsville #1 also didn't vote for Highlands - at all.

I posted this earlier but will again. Here's what I believe happened:

 

I'm sure Hopkinsville is right after Highlands on the pull-down menu used for voting. It would appear one voter accidentally picked Hopkinsville instead of Highlands. You would think the voters would recheck their poll before casting, though.

Yeah, I missed that up the way.

 

Then I will note I am further distressed by the amount of voters that must have not had Bowling Green even in 2nd place!
