How many AP voters will vote Bowling Green #1 in 5A this week?

Featured Replies

Since BG played Trinity closer in a game than Highlands did in a scrimmage I "assume" The Purples may get more 1st place votes this week. Now I know that is silly logic but what logic could a voter possibly be using by voting BG #1 over the Birds? And how many first place votes will BG get?

It will be interesting to see how the voting goes. Does the AP come out Monday or Tuesday?

Also, heading into this game Highlands was first in state according to Cantrall followed by Trinity, and in the Litkenhous Trinity was first in state, followed by Highlands. I'm guessing that IF HIGHLANDS BEATS EASTERN on Saturday by more than a couple of points, the Bluebirds will maintain their top position in Cantrall and overtake Trinity for first place in the Litkenhous.

And what does all of this (the AP poll, the Cantrall ratings and the Litkenhous rankings) mean... absolutely nothin'! :D

(All of it looks pretty good for Class 5A, though!!!)

Didn't Manual beat BG in a scrimmage this year 7-0?:D

Don't think so

No, BG won that scrimmage 10-7.

Ru in an effort to precipitate conversation about a possible chink in Highlands armor has taken the "Untouchables Approach." The Feds feudal attempts to pin anything on Al Capone forced them to ultimately indict him for tax invasion. Realizing the unlikely event of a Highlands loss in 10 and continued success Ru is simply attempting to circumvent honest straight forward debate on the merits for far more reaching theories hopefully beneath most of the posters on this site. The posters on this site are sharp enough to pick their own battles with each other without constantly being egged on about matters and topics most consider minutia.

I think another key adjunct to this question is that based on both teams results against Trinity could and should Bowling Green jump over Highlands in the BGP Rankings? :D

I know you are a very educated and smart guy but this has to do with last weeks AP poll and not anything to do with your beloved Birds. The point of this thread is to point out how stupid, yes I said stupid, some AP voters are when they don't vote Highlands number one.

I promise I will try to make it simpler for you in the future.

Thanks I appreciate that!

Ox, it might not be a bad thing if they did put BG on top. Just what Highlands needs is more locker room material, more incentive, more reasons to prove to the Haters that just because you bump a Highlands to #2 and put the team that they may or may not play in the State Championship at #1. Lets face it, the only number that means squat is 20n10.

And somebody will still say they arent very good!!!!

I like that, we are finally starting to connect!

I don't think it warrants #1 votes, but I'd definitely make them a solid #2.
