September 22, 201016 yr I never thought it was possible for it to continue to be a decent show without Simon. J Lo could be interesting but I highly doubt I will watch anymore. I've said for years that Simon was the only thing that kept me watching and I think that will hold true.

They aren't making close to the money they were making. Their viewers are dwindling and now they can't market the way they once could. American Idol is running a thing where you can audition over the internet and submit a video but instead of submitting it on American Idol's own website they want you to submit it on Myspace. Just shows that they are using Myspace to try and attract viewers and some of what they've lost. If it was just submitting it on the AI website then I doubt they get as many as they are going to by putting it on Myspace.

If they are still making a lot of money, then they should do it. Obviously they arent making as much as they used to because it was BY FARRRRR the most successful show out for awhile. Not that hard to understand
