They could only move up if they are geographically isolated.

With HHS out of the way in 5A next year does anyone think DIXIE may be the NKY team playing for and winning state championships in the next several years? I do think Bowling Green will be there and will probably win a few in the next 5 years but still would of liked HHS to run off several more state championships if they would have stayed in 5A. Like others I think 4A is going to make it more difficult to win championships year in and year out for the birds.

Dixie will be moving to 6A next year if the realinement is approved in Oct.

Coach Spritzky can't win. Get rid of HHS and gain a Ryle, St. X, and a Trinity. Really like Tom and thought this might be his chance to make a run for a state title. think he might of been better of in 5A even with the birds in his back yard. Also was hoping he could field a few teams to keep the Purples in check over the next several years. So who will be the team to look for out of the North and East in 5A?

Boyle holds the record with 5 consecutive state rings. I think they hold another record of 6 straight state championship appearances, correct me if i'm wrong. I, for one, would look forward to seeing Highlands and Boyle playing again (other than the traveling part). Talk about a great 4A class with Ft. Thomas, Boyle, Bell, Lone Oak. In order to be the best, you have to beat the best year in and year out. These programs have an awesome fan base and an even more impressive history.

Beechwood appeared in the A Finals 7 straight seasons from 1991 - 1997. They won 4 consecutive ('91 - '94) then 2 straight over Harrodsburg after losing the '95 Title game to Mayfield by only 1 point.
