Fights In the Stands

Why can't you? It happens all the time I'm sure.

I'm from the upbringing that if you act like an idiot and then you go and get your butt kicked---you take your lickings like a man---not run to the nearest lawyer looking for protection.

I just want to make it known that I woudln't run to the nearest lawyer, but I also would not be in a situation like this. Assualting someone because they offended you is wrong, plain and simple.

If the old man punched the "young punk" and then the "young punk" beat the crap out of the old man...how many of you would have issues with that?

Old man - should have let security deal with the issue - should not have slapped punk(although I suspect he paid a bigger price for his actions than the punk did, I bet he was very sore the next day)

He certainly took a bad fall and it could have been much worse for him than it probably was.

Bottom line. Young men was escorted out and older folks stayed.

Right because a secuirty guard could never be wrong.

Everyone involved in this incident was in the wrong in some way, shape or form.

Punk - should have shown some respect

Lady - should have let security deal with the issue - should not have slapped the punk

Security - for not noticing and getting involved before it escalated

I agree with this bigtime. This was going on for over 3 minutes and that is just what is on tape. How did someone not see this at some point?

HT same as what I said to UKMF 25 years from now don't be surprised if your tune has changed as well.

I'd really love to hear how someone is okay with a person slapping a complete stranger in the face? That's one of the most outlandish things I've ever heard. All because he used some foul language...Boo hoo.

So just so I understand this correctly RTS, you'd be all for your wife, daughter, mother, whomever, screaming at a person for their language, and have no problem with them slapping said person? You then see nothing wrong with you then going over to the person, after the altercation had seemingly died down, and physically assualting said person?
I wouldn't have waited until my wife, daughter, mother, whomever took care of it nor would I have waited until it died down, I would have taken care of it immediately. If asking them to knock it off didn't work, then yes, they'd get thumped.
It's okay to try to beat someone up in front of women and children, but haven forbid you swear in front of them...
If I was dealing with a real man it wouldn't be a problem, a real man wouldn't act like that in front of my wife, kids, mother, whomever.

We'll see how you feel when you have kids of your own or a wife that someone is totally disrespecting in this manner.

So no one has ever cussed in front of your wife and kids? Really?

2 wrongs don't make a right.

Me and my family are only fighting if you throw racial epithets at us. Other than that... we keep it moving. I can admit that we'd be just as wrong for bringing violence into the situation. It's not worth it to me to be away from my family in jail because some jerk has a foul mouth.

He himself has said he cusses, so I'd venture a guess he's at least in rare instances, cussed in front of, if not at them. Amazing how it's not a "thumpable" offense then...

:thumb: I can't think of any instance that would cause me to use physical violence towards someone outside of them threatening me to the point I felt I was in danger of physical harm. If that makes me less of a man, than so be it. I think it's just the opposite, but that's just me. :idunno:

I'd also venture to say there are way too many posters on here who take spoken words way too serious....Words have no power unless you give them power, by say, "thumping" someone for cursing...

I'm with your initial feeling, Clyde. Little punk needed a beat down, I really wish the old guy could have delivered. I really don't care if she did slap him, in fact, if so I'm glad she did. A lot of young punks these days are way too free with their mouth and have zero regard for anyone.

It seems as though the woman got upset and crossed the line, slapped the guy, he made a scene of it, which embarrased her further, and then we saw the escelation from there. I think it's laughable that he's a "young punk" for drawing attention to a situation where the lady was the one who was out of line. Perhaps he should've gotten security, but he didn't, doesn't mean that couple had a right to physically assualt him TWICE.
