None of which is any excuse for the old guy to physically assault him. Sorry, the kid was being a tool, but the old guy was just as bad.

September 3, 201016 yr At the risk of sounding "old" this response is a perfect example of how the generations look at the world differently. The 20s think that just because the law is on their side that they have no fear of repercussions against them regardless of how vile their words may be. Those of us who grew up in a different time know better. The kid could still be arrested and or escorted from the arena and maybe given a citation for disorderly conduct, maybe more if he was intoxicated. But it's not going to be nearly as bad as what the other gentlemen would receive if he was charged with assault. Doesn't matter who you feel was morally right, that's not how the law works unfortunately. I think the difference you see among the 20 somethings is a very clear understanding of the law in these situations.

No technical foul or ejections to use. You do what? Beat the heck out of him, since clearly there's no witnesses there.
