This may be a thread geared towards the BGP members who a are a bit longer in the tooth; we will see. In no particular order, I liked:

The Incredible Hulk

Fantastic Four

Metamorpho

Dr. Strange

Thor

Also the Legion of Super Heroes. Who couldn't identify with a character called "Matter-Eater Lad"?!

Veronica and Wonder Woman.

Maybe my favorite comic book series of all time was Marvel's wonderful parody "Not Brand Echh." Featured such luminaries as The Mighty Sore, Charlie America and The Inedible Bulk. The run didn't last nearly long enough.

I've always been a Batman fan.

Probably had as much of a "psychological angle" as any long-running series.

Shazam! Loved the comic books and the live action show.

Some of us are old enough to think that's what Gomer Pyle said from time to time.

Speaking of The Green Hornet, does anybody remember the TV (not a cartoon) show? Came on the same night as The Time Tunnel, I think; but was probably more notable for co-starring Bruce Lee as Kato.

Got every episode of the Green Hornet on disc now, also all episodes of Shazam/Captain Marvel-animated and live action, Isis, Batman. 60s Hulk, Thor, Submariner, Captain America,Iron Man. And many, many, many more. Love to collect all this stuff

The Green Lantern will be released to the big screen next year. They are planning it to be a summer blockbuster. I've seen clips. It looks pretty good!

I've always been a Batman fan.

Same here Batman!

I guess I would be considered to be in the "video game" era but that never stopped me from reading a good comic book!

Spider-man

Iron Man

Captain America

Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)

Superman

Batman

Storm

Nightwing

Prince Namor/Submariner

Wolverine

Dr. Strange

Flash

I loved Marvel Comics "Civil War" story

Spiderman

X-Men

Batman

Captain America

Flash

For me I liked the Fantastic 4, and Captain America. Another favorite of mine was SGT. ROCK!!!:clap:

Batman

Superman

the Justice League

the Legion of Super Heroes

Pretty much most of the whole DC family

I never missed an issue of Adventure comics, followed them through the second feature in Action and on to when they took over Superboy. My favorite of all comics.

And I,too,was a fan of Captain Hero,Swamprat.:ylsuper:

I liked Batman, Superman, Flash.

In the non-action hero category I bought the Archie and Casper comic book characters. I could buy a comic book for 10 cents when I was a youngster in the 1960"s I made $5 a week working at the local movie theater and that bought me a lot of comics, LOL. I sure wish I had some of those comic books back today, they would probably be worth some $$$.

I remember getting pretty sick one year back in the mid-60s. As I remember it, my dad got some of the guys from his HS wrestling team to pitch in some comics so I'd have something to read.

He brought home a stack of maybe a couple hundred comics. There were lots of Archies and Caspers; as well as Batman, Superman, etc. The only ones in the stack that I didn't care for were Richie Rich - I just hated those.

In retrospect, I guess I started exhibiting those commie pinko liberal tendencies at a very young age.
