September 4, 201016 yr I guess I'm going to have to change my approach. It's over. Might as well change my avatar now. The Cardinals are done. Congrats to the Reds on winning the NL Central. Enjoy it Reds fans. Sounds like a BGP suspension is needed.
September 4, 201016 yr Sounds like a BGP suspension is needed. I know. Patrick has been the greatest thing to happen to the Reds.

September 5, 201016 yr You guys wouldn't leave him alone. Now look what you've done. :madman::madman: He's really going out on a limb with that prediction, considering Carpenter has owned the Reds in his career. It'll be no surprise to see them get the L today. A win would just be icing on the cake after taking one yesterday.
September 5, 201016 yr Author The Reds magic number is 21. Thats tiny with the four weeks to go, i.e., the Reds win three a week and the Cardinals lose two a week and the Reds are in. But I dont think its over. The Cardinals have one very good run in them. Consider: Albert Pujols is 1-for-his-last-20 and St. Louis is 1-7 in the Adam Wainwright and Chris Carpenters last eight starts. You have to think that will turn around. Rick The Commish Hummels column in todays Post-Dispatch recounted the story of the 1964 Cardinals. They were down five games with 11 to play and won the pennant and the World Series. So, yes, the Reds are in very good shape no matter what happens today. Over? Not by a long shot. http://cincinnati.com/blogs/reds/2010/09/05/it-aint-over-till/
