For those among us who think the sky is falling,

Reds still with the best record in the NL...

I'm certainly not in the "sky is falling" category but I still have a big concern about their inability to beat good teams in tight games.

The first place team in the Central should have the best record in the league.

I'm only worried about playing the Phillies in the first round, but in all honestly, I don't know who wouldn't be.

If the Cards sweep this weekend, the Reds will be up by 5 games. On Monday, the Reds will have 26 left to play & the Cards will have 28 left to play. A five game lead with 26/28 remaining would make me stop thinking about the playoffs and start thinking about about the rest of September.

Definately. When you get to play all those games against the Pirates, Astros, Cubs and Brewers the NL Central Champ should have the best record in baseball.

They can get swept and I still won't be worried. The Cards were coming in ice cold and the Reds were on fire, you don't stay on fire all year.

Sure hasn't worked out for the all mighty St. Louis Cardinals.

Nope, it should be the teams with at least twice the payroll as most teams.

Won't be around during the game today. Watching the UK/UL game live and taping the Reds game...

Don't blame you. You'll just get upset anyway.

You're a piece of work. It's not like I'm not watching the game, it'll just be later than most.

Piece of work is putting it mildly.

Bases loaded in the first for the Reds and 1 out, Ramon up to bat.
