August 26, 201016 yr I've always liked John Allen. I was named after my grandfathers. Thank God, Mom and Dad decided to use their first names or I'd be Augusta Alowishious.:scared:

Good thing, or there would have been a Chauncey in the mix.
August 26, 201016 yr Or one could go with a combination of users that have weighed in on this thread. 2-Humped Alabama Bluto, for example.
August 30, 201016 yr Author Mrs C says Aaron, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Caleb They apparently almost agreed on Caleb over the weekend and then my brother withdrew from negotiations. I've forwarded them the name of a trusted friend and arbitrator, haha.
August 30, 201016 yr James is a good name (not mine!) Then he can be Jim, Jimbo, Jimmy, Jamey Joseph a good name too... Both Saints.
August 30, 201016 yr Caleb Daniel Joel Levi Marcus Philip Seth I like the 2nd one of those mentioned .
August 30, 201016 yr One of my brothers and his wife are expecting their 3rd son in early October and they're having quite a struggle agreeing on names. They had a hard enough time coming up with the first two names - this time it seems darn near impossible. They're looking for more more "traditional" type names (their first two were named Henry and Luke), and as Catholics, Biblical/saintly names are kind of a preferred, but not necessary. Samuel, Jude, and Maxwell are all apparently ruled out because of cousins' names. Sooooo...if that's not a tall enough order, let's hear some suggestions. I'm partial to Anthony. I also like James, Ethan, and Andrew. There's always Martin, Lawrence (although probably not good together), Matthew and Caleb. Although saintly, tell them to steer clear of Clement. For some reason, that name creeps me out. Ignatius would be cool, but I fear he'd be called Iggy.
August 30, 201016 yr Same with me; except the middle names were used instead of the first names. Good thing, or there would have been a Chauncey in the mix. My ex-husband wanted to name my son Sabatino. I was horrified! First I imagined my son showing up to kindergarten having to learn to spell Sabatino. Then there was the inevitable nickname. I had these horrors of hearing "Sabby _______(our last name) with a 96 yard catch for a TD" over the PA at Marshall Stadium.
