LeGarret Blount throws a punch...again

Featured Replies

This time at Titans practice. If the Titans cut him, he should go for the WBC Heavyweight belt.

I still think he's an idiot but I really don't see this as a big deal.

I agree, but still dumb to throw any punches at all considering his past and him trying to make the team

Punches get thrown in training camp all the time, I don't see it as a big deal, even with his past.

I'm not saying it isn't common or should be frowned upon, but you have to consider who it is. He is a free agent who is TRYING to make the team. In 99.9% of the cases it isn't a problem at all, I just think if he is smart then he keeps the punches thrown to a minimum.

He sounds like a football player to me!! While I do not approve of everything he did that night in Oregon or wherever he was, I was not even that mad he punched the big mouth who taunted him. I mean this is football we hit each other, as a coach you teach these kids not to get pushed around and be disrespected. Leave the kid alone.

There is a differece between tackling a guy and sucker punching somehow one.

Glad to see this kid is still showing his true colors and I hope he never makes it in the NFL.

He got his helmet ripped off two plays in a roll, I'm sure many of us would have gotten mad as well. Fisher said it wasn't a big deal, veteran fullback Ahmad Hall said it wasn't a big deal, so why should we think it is a big deal? As Fisher put it, its not the first time this year a guy threw a punch in training camp, but because of his past everyone wants to make a big deal out of this incident. I mean people have gotten their jaws broke by punches in training camp before, past or not, a punch to someone who is still wearing a helmet is not a big deal to me.

For anyone that has played football and has gone through the practices during the summer then you know what it's like. Tempers flare a little bit and people are tired of practices, and plus in this situation, players are fighting for a job. This is nothing that should be made of IMO.

Correct.

Non-story.

Much bigger story if the other guy didn't have his helmet on. It tells me he doesn't have filter, not too smart to punch a helmet.

I agree on part of that. He has obviously shown the complete inability to control himself and his emotions. Now, with that being said, football practices punches aren't a big deal. He does have a past to live up to though. Who knows, maybe the Titan coaching staff were trying to see how he would respond. If you all watched this week's Hard Knocks, it was obvious they "set up" a situation where they wanted to see if Gholston would fight back. Either way, he is on a shorter leash and really needs to work on his anger issues.

I saw the video and agree completely. Overall, no big deal but after watching the kid in this incident and the Boise St incident I'd suggest the young man has some anger issues.
