That would be because more coaches voted for Beechwood. But it means nothing!! It's a PREseason poll. Mayfield will be fine. They will take care of business I'm sure. We should see these two teams play in the same game as last year. Win that one and prove the coaches wrong!!

I'm guessing the majority feel that Beechwood is the best team on paper right now......

I think you will see a couple of teams not listed in the polls climb the ladder into the top 10. ie.. 1A Fairview who has a not so tough schedule will be up their soon. And they have a good team. They should win their first five or six games before having to play LCA and Raceland. "dist. gms"

I also think you will see the Ashland Blazer Tomcats on the rise in 5A. They are ranked #10 preseason.

Glasgow should be in top ten in 2A. I am Monroe Co. fan but look for Glasgow to be a very tough team to beat in 2A.

They are definitely several things that need to be changed. Pulaski County is far too high at #5 in 5A. They are 10th at best. Johnson Central should be at the #4 spot to start off. Pike County Central should be higher. However, this is just pre-season. Teams will move up and down as the season goes along.

Very soon. We are finalizing everything right now to make sure we provide you with the best rankings possible.

I disagree. JC isn't better that Christian County or Owensboro. I would put them ahead of Pulaski however...

OK "Debbie Downer".:lol: Yes we are young and inexperienced and will have to play to win every game. But, look at the non top 10 teams and tell me who you would move up. Let me know.

And, I would add: our community support is equally great. Our community gives a standard to our program to live up too. Our community supports our program, and our program doesn't want to disappoint our community. Raceland may not win them all this year, but when it comes to 1A football, they will be near the top.

Wow! The stab wound is bleeding!!!!! LOL To answer your question about a Top 10 1A team not listed that is deserving........I look to our District. Fairview has a ton of returning lineman and with addition of several skill kids from out of state, they will tough to beat.
