August 16, 201016 yr Exactly. Had he jumped in the local YMCA pool, people would be complaining that he did not jump in the gulf. Not to get too far off subject, but has anyone looked at the numbers as far as the amount of oil remaining in the gulf? Obviously it is a lot, but they believe 75%-80% is already gone, mainly through mother nature evaporating it all. I have been waiting for the White House to claim they had overseen efforts to remove around this amount from the water And people say global warming is not a good thing :lol:
August 16, 201016 yr The dip in the ocean was fine.... My criticism is the fact that he did nothing to address the tens of thousands of people he put OUT of work in the gulf area... No mention of hope or restored jobs.. He acted as if everything is fine and dandy when it's not...

I am amazed how the right can find a daily attack on a democrat president no matter what and there is nothing a democrat president can do correct. The right's attack mode is strong and unrelenting. For goodness sakes, Obama goes for a swim on vacation and it is "katie bar the door". I am sure tomorrow we will hear Rush and Beck saying they have it on good authority that our President actually peed in the water while he was swimming. And Mark Williams will probably blame a "black tar ball" that washed on shore on Obama. This ongoing one sided, closed minded attack mode is a real turn off for me, an independent moderate, and often pushes me to the left side of arguments.
