I actually thought of that before posting this and I think it's good for JC to be playing this one early in the year and at home. The Defense and especially the linebackers for Boyle are the best that JC will see this year and the only way I'd give them a chance of scoring this much is if the defense for Boyle hasn't quite gotten used to the few new starters this year. I understand that Boyle could walk in here and blow out JC worse then last year, but I really don't think most people understand how much this team has changed and grown since then. They are faster and stronger at allot of positions and I HOPE this comes as a suprise to the Boyle players that remember last year? Like I said i am definitely bias but at least I am up front about it....

It's ok to be biased. I must admit that I am too but 35-21 isn't very realistic. The Johnson Central running game may be alot better than last year but remember that the Johnson Central running backs are facing one of the top linebackers in the country, in Lamar Dawson. He is all the front runner for Mr. Football. They are also facing the best linebacker crew in the state. This will definitely be the best defense that JC will see all season.

I think its closer this year with Johnson Central having a chance to win it late. Boyle lost the X factor that was Reese, anyone who watched them knows how much he bailed them out on offense. The LB's wont be as stand outish with the Dline they lost to graduation and the old block down kick out scheme will chew up clock!

Half of our d-line is back in Ryan Wilson and Paul Megilligan.

The new starters are guys that played a lot last year so I don't think the word 'new' applies to 3 of the new starters. Only 1 guy will be a new starter on defense. The game definitely shouldn't be like last years game. Especially if you guys have improved defensively. I'll maintain that you will have a hard time running the ball until it is proven otherwise.

On both lines how many starters were starters last year? I know that the RB graduated but I really haven't heard about the lineman. That seems to be were it takes the most time for kids to gel...

Our o-line returns 2 of 5 starters. Our d-line brings back 2 of 4. I think how quickly the new o-line guys can gel will be interesting. I know I am stating the obvious but our offense will begin to start clicking when the new guys get up to speed with Coffman and Priest. I am not worried though. We normally have above average o-line play and I expect that to remain true.

I truly have no worries about anything anywhere on the defensive side of the ball.

I have it on good authority that Boyle County's four linebackers, when healthy, are as good as any four in the state. If that is true, this could be a "lights out" defense for Frenchy!

Boyle by 4 TD's

42-14

All 4 linebackers are very experienced. I know I am biased but I would be very surprised and would love to see a better linebacking crew in the state. I don't think there is one.

Mr. N, if you are correct, you definitely aren't far off. Boyle County's defense will be what leads them to another championship this year - but that really isn't too different from always!

Well said. I too would love to see a linebacking crew better than the one at Boyle County, if there is one.

Trying to figure out which game to go to. Ashland vs Greenup Co. 8miles down the road. Or this game that has two awesome teams playng. But it's appx. 85 miles south on US 23. But it sure would be worth the ride.
