Didn't see them on Conner's freshman schedule, was just curious.

 

Freshman teams had to drop there last game of the season to have a playoff. Conner was there last game . Cooper freshman starts off the season with Covcath.

Those lights just get hot.

You would have had to pay at CovCath as well for the same scholarship fund. Will Cooper have drinks etc for the fans tonight and if they don't, can we at least bring in our own water plastic bottles?

 

For me at least, Cooper is much closer to home!

If I am correct the final of this one was CC 14 Cooper 7. Very very physical game. Cooper looked improved over last year with their young QB, Morris? throwing a couple of nice passes while on the run.

 

CC looked pretty solid in the run game and their QB throws a very nice ball. He is a sophomore too right? CC also had a big receiver who made a few nice grabs..

Covcath was very inconsistent tonight. At times they looked very good, other times they looked confused. Hopefully the unforced errors tonight, will be corrected. I think this was a very good learning experience for the young QB's on both sides.

 

One thing is for sure CovCath will need to improve on both sides of the ball to get a victory against Ryle.

 

Cooper has improved quite a bit, however, I don't know if they have enough depth to compete week in week out at the 6a Level.

I would guess that big receiver is Alex Connelly. He should be one of the top receivers in N. Ky. this year.

Bir started at QB and looked very good !

I think Cooper will get some respect this year ! They gave Covcath all they wanted in that game ! I think some of those Covcath dads were upset with the refs !!!! I would think they would have more class than that . After all it was just a scrimmage.

Often times in scrimmages newer or brand new officials will be used for training. I know that happened at the Conner scrimmage as the top dog Matt Young was there training.

How long did the starters play? Anybody have a recap on the scoring, turnovers etc?

Quite true Clyde as there looked to be some training going on. In all honestly though, the men in stripes were not ready to call a game and a few of the CovCath Dads need to settle down!
