Yep, that's him. He played wit the Jets for 3/4 yrs and hurt his knee ending his career. Bellevue hired him as PE teacher in 1987 and he coached there for like 10 yrs, great guy and great person. He is a principal or assistant principal now at Boone Co I believe.

He was a great guy as well. I remember him as my PE teacher, if we did anything bad, we had to do bear craws around the gym :lol:.

I too find it interesting that anytime a Highlands fan comes to the defense of one of their own we are called "sensitive" or told to "calm down" It has become a common reply when the Highlands Haters backtrack their comments and do "damage control". If you think I'm a "Highlands Hater" you are way off base. If you know the people I talk to, you'd know I really respect the program and have made it out to a couple of their games when my schedule allows me to. I love watching the Birds play. The ONLY times I've somewhat disliked them was when Rockcastle County played against them in the early part of the decade but that's because they were an opponent of my alma mater. Coach Mueller has done a fantastic job with the talent in the area considering they are playing a level up. No ill will towards the program is coming from me.

 

As far as the "magic letters"...its just something that I've gotten into a habit of adding on to most of what I say cause I'm used to IM'ing people through Facebook and AIM (used to use it but not anymore)...it was never meant to be a jab at J-Lo or the Highlands program...I would love nothing more than to see him suit up for the UIFL team in the BOKC next spring...he would draw a decent crowd alone for all the UK fans in the area that would wanna see him play.
