July 11, 201016 yr It's not debatable. I like LeBron and still do but no one has gone through the lengths that Cats has gone to defend LeBron. When I think of LeBron I think of Cats. Maybe one day you will endure all that Cats has had to endure over the past 2 years on this board defending someone only to have that person you were defending ruin 2 years of defending in a week's time. Everything we told Cats LeBron was he turned out to be and Cats didn't find out until after defending him for the last two years. It'd be like me defending Kobe saying he never raped that girl only to have video of it surface tonight on ESPN. That's very disappointing. I still think as time goes on Cats will be back to defending LeBron but now it's still a fresh wound. You were mentioned after he said don't respond to him because you have been the hardest on him about all of this. Obviously. He has a right to feel however he wants to about LeBron as we all do. He has said numerous times how he has followed LeBron for over half of his life. Let the man grieve and release how he wants. Last thing he needs to do is defend himself when a lot of us know how he has been up against the firing squad for the last 2 years anyways. He's picked the Cavs to win it all for the last 3 years.....give him a break. I agree. Just trying to give you some insight as to why Cats feels the way he does. It seems like you and dolamite gave him the hardest time over his feelings. Especially by calling him out and saying he isn't a true LeBron supporter when history shows he is likley the biggest LeBron supporter. I respect the fact he isn't blindly loyal to LeBron and shows that despite his allegiance to LeBron he is disgusted by his choice to play at. I can't say I would do the same for Kobe. In fact, I am ready to root and debate for Kobe regardless of where he ends up.....even if he and Shaq teamed back up:puke:.........:puke:........To each his own though. Thanks man. :thumb: I haven't really debated back and forth with any of them for as long of a time as I have others on here, so I guess maybe they don't remember all of the crap I went through single-handedly to defend LBJ. It was rough , but it was some good times man.
July 11, 201016 yr I can't spell, but all I said is it was debatable. Other people have mentioned it too. I feel bad for Cats, but all LBJ did was change teams as a free agent. That was his right. I don't think it's really debatable because there is no way we can measure it I don't guess . I mean am I 120% loyal, while others are only 95%? How could we measure or even debate it?
July 11, 201016 yr Thanks man. :thumb: I haven't really debated back and forth with any of them for as long of a time as I have others on here, so I guess maybe they don't remember all of the crap I went through single-handedly to defend LBJ. It was rough , but it was some good times man. I miss http://www.82games.com.
July 11, 201016 yr I miss http://www.82games.com. See, the NBA playoff thread just didn't have it this year . Things were so much more interesting when it looked like the Cavs were a legit threat to win the title.
July 12, 201016 yr Did you guys see that one email on the Bill Simmons article? "Dwade- 3 years of college. Bosh, 1 year of college, the King had no years of college. The smarter guy convinced his two dumb friends to come join him and take less money. The moral of the story is, stay in school kids." That still doesn't beat, "Magic Johnson had clutch genes. LeBron James wants to sell jeans." I thought that one was funny, even if you're a LBJ guy.
June 21, 201214 yr This one is equally as good: http://bluegrasspreps.com/national-basketball-association/lebron-announce-decision-206048.html
June 21, 201214 yr ^ I read that one and was going to post something when I got the end and then....bam...closed thread. Forgot I could link. Thanks bugatti.
June 21, 201214 yr This thread was awesome. Good times. PP92, thanks for "liking" my post from two years ago. I forgot all about that haha!
June 21, 201214 yr PP92, thanks for "liking" my post from two years ago. I forgot all about that haha! No problem. I liked the fact that the Superfriends copied off of your men's league team and that you weren't mad at Lebron for following your blueprint. Especially after following your team's results on twitter. After I read it I had to click 'like'. Best reason I saw excusing Lebron for going to Miami.
June 21, 201214 yr Man Catsx3 and Dol wrote a short novel in this thread. Hahahaha, that was some passionate debate. I feel foolish now backing Lebron and trying to rationalize the decision, that was a foolish thing to do. However, at the time he was getting so much hate I just tried to keep it real and still show support. One things for sure, you can never call me a bandwagon jumper or anything like that, I have the players I like and I stick with them. Same with teams (Chicago Cubs, Dallas Cowboys, UK), in the NBA I never really had a team, just like the teams that my favorite players played for. More about liking a team because of who plays for them instead of liking a team no matter what.
