The real problem with a lot of these larger city crime statistics is gangs and drugs. If they focus more on policing the drug problems and the thug gang problem I bet their gun problem would decrease significantly. A law prohibiting handgun ownership isn't going to do squat when a member from gang A shoots a member from gang B over turf or drugs.

July 2, 201016 yr He is obviously telling the Supreme Court that he doesn't care what their ruling is or what the Constitution says and that as Mayor of Chicago he will restrict whatever rights he wishes. After all Chicago is known for having some of the most respected and upstanding Politians in the country.
