June 17, 201016 yr Could this be in anticipation of one or two teams leaving to join the Big Ten (twelve)?
June 17, 201016 yr Author That would be a heck of a commute from Boston College to Ft. Worth. BC is in the ACC...
June 17, 201016 yr Agree with that and people must remember Florida State is becoming "cool" again.I don't know where you are getting that from, but that is funny.
June 17, 201016 yr I think it would be great! UCF only and hour and a half away? Natural rivalry. We already hate them. Road trips for USF fans for Big East conference games are practically expeditions. I'd love to have a southern division.
June 17, 201016 yr UCF has a huge student population. Plus they pack the stadium on Saturdays. I would agree that they would be a natrual rival for USF. Plus the Orlando tv market would be a good pick up for the Big East. If you get rid of anyone basketball wise it has to be Marquette and DePaul. You could make a North and South to help cut down on travel.
June 17, 201016 yr I don't know where you are getting that from, but that is funny. I believe the Noles are on the rise. Recruiting went up right after Bob left but we will see over the next few years. But I would buy some cheap FSU stock right now.

Their post graduate underwater basket weaving program is the best in the nation. They pack their stadium, because the Erector Set only holds 45K. It's a fund place to watch a game, if you don't mind the stadium swaying back and forth. :puke:

I know plenty of D-1 football programs that cant sell tickets. memphis being one of them.
June 18, 201016 yr I understand the stadium is small, but at least they fill it. I know plenty of D-1 football programs that cant sell tickets. memphis being one of them. Louisville is one of them when they aren't winning. And Kentucky is one of them on most occasions except for big name SEC opponents.
June 18, 201016 yr They have had some good recruits coming in lately.Really? With the exception of 2003 and 2007, this is the worst recuiting class since 2002. The kids in last year's senior class were from recruiting classes (2005 and 2006) ranked in the top 5 in the country. What exactly has Jimbo Fisher done? His offense did not exactly set the world on fire the last 2 years and it was pretty much shut down in 2 of the 3 losses to in-state rivals last season. There is a lot to be excited about in tee pee land, but let's let Jimbo coach a year and recruit on his own before we crown him as the second coming of Bowden, still the reason most kids, including the class of 2010, came to Tallahassee. I'll guarantee you Chief Osceola and the alumni are.

I'll guarantee you Chief Osceola and the alumni are. Everyone and their mother wanted LaMarcus Joyner, Jeff Luc, and Christian Jones. Greg Reid (2 years ago I know) had all kinds of offers and was a Gators commit. They had a top 10 class last year even with the retirement of Bowden. I have no faith in Jimbo but I do have to respect the work they've done on the recruiting trail. They had no business getting any of the four players I named.

I know plenty of D-1 football programs that cant sell tickets. memphis being one of them. When they played at the Citrus Bowl, they drew about the same or less on average. They didn't even sell it out for the C-USA championship when they played TCU there. What do you expect? Most of their graduates are from their celebrated School of Hole Lookers and Sign Holders. You know what they say, "The world needs ditch diggers, too." Well, they all graduated from UCF. (I apologize, if I offended any ditch diggers with that comment. I really didn't mean to accuse you of actually going there.) :isurrender: :jump: Listen, if you go onto the USF boards, you'll find the reaction to be pretty revolting, as far as I am concerned. Most don't want them. I find the attitude arrogant and hypocritical. I may make fun of them, but I want them in the conference. I think it would be great for both schools and the Big East as well.
June 18, 201016 yr BC is in the ACC... Oh, I know. I was just making an observation. Much like a commute from Duke to North Dakota would be a long one.
