June 18, 201016 yr Everyone and their mother wanted LaMarcus Joyner, Jeff Luc, and Christian Jones. Greg Reid (2 years ago I know) had all kinds of offers and was a Gators commit. They had a top 10 class last year even with the retirement of Bowden. I have no faith in Jimbo but I do have to respect the work they've done on the recruiting trail. They had no business getting any of the four players I named. I thought Bob leaving opened the door for Luc and Joyner to my Bucks but it didn't turn out that way. We will see if there is a rejuvenation there or not.

June 18, 201016 yr When they played at the Citrus Bowl, they drew about the same or less on average. They didn't even sell it out for the C-USA championship when they played TCU there. What do you expect? Most of their graduates are from their celebrated School of Hole Lookers and Sign Holders. You know what they say, "The world needs ditch diggers, too." Well, they all graduated from UCF. (I apologize, if I offended any ditch diggers with that comment. I really didn't mean to accuse you of actually going there.) :isurrender: :jump: Listen, if you go onto the USF boards, you'll find the reaction to be pretty revolting, as far as I am concerned. Most don't want them. I find the attitude arrogant and hypocritical. I may make fun of them, but I want them in the conference. I think it would be great for both schools and the Big East as well. See this is why they would be a good pick up. They could continue to rub the USF fans the wrong way.....
June 18, 201016 yr Big East would be crazy not to pick up Memphis. 1. Gives the 9 teams in the league helps save money when trying to schedule. 2. Fed Ex will give 10 million a year for sponsorship to whoever takes them 3. With Fed Ex being on board those dollars have to help keep the Big East at the table when the BCS contract is up. Other than those 3 reasons I can't think of any others that make Memphis attractive. But it is business.

FedEx later issued a statement that the report was "incorrect" and the company has "not had any discussions with BCS conference officials regarding conference realignment."

June 20, 201016 yr I think we will see conferences expand because they need to get to 12 teams for championship games for TV. Not sure what other markets the big 12 could pull from? Notre Dame is the only Big Time school, Unless they go after UC & UofL
