Kevin Durant. I'm looking pretty solid, CP3, DWade, and Durant. My team is desperately strapped for cash with this payroll, so we can't afford all the rosin LeBron throws in the air as part of his show. Hence, he's out. Plus I'm trying to minimize the tattoo factor on my roster.

I like the salary cap but then we have to figure out everyone's worth all the way down to the Tyler Hansbrough's of the league. I say we take 10 guys at each position that has to be picked specifically for that position. I think that would make things sensible and easier and at least a little challenging. After we get the top 10 at each position, then we can add a salary to each player.

Anybody ever play the game Virtual GM in the fantasy game section of espn.com? They got rid of it 2 years ago but that is the format I am talking about.

I think this would be fun as a draft, fantasy stats not relevant. Snake draft, 10-15 people more or less it doesn't matter, and see who can amass the best "team" to compete for titles the next 5-7 years. Only one person gets James, etc...but snake format makes it more fair. Just a thought.

 

You also wouldn't be held down by "positions" as your starting five can go any way you want. Small ball? Sure. 3 Bigs? Give it a go.

Easy. Durant has to add alot more to his game other than just scoring if he wants to be the best. His playmaking for teammates, rebounding and defense all have to come a long, long way IMO.

Well...I thought about that. Especially considering my roster backcourt is 19 and 22 respectively.

 

What the heck. I'll bite. Give me Durant. No graybeards on my roster. At least not yet. I'm looking for a 10-12 year window, not 5-7.

I don't know, to me rebounding and especially passing is something you have to be born with, so to speak. I don't think someone becomes much better at either, they seem to be things that come naturally. JMO though, of course.
