Shooting Guard for you NBA team.

Featured Replies

List your point guard and then name who your starting shooting guard is going to be.

You going with a scorer like Wade or Kobe (what about his age since we are talking the next 5-7 years) or going with a shooter like Ray Allen.

So, your post should have two names that represent two-fifths of your starting lineup.

Small Forward will be tomorrow.

Are we calling LBJ a 2 or 3 in all of these threads? I think you could also consider him a PG, in which I believe he may be the best in the NBA.

I figured he was more of a 3 than a 1 or a 2.

D.Wade

Easy pick for me. Though I wouldn't mind pairing my PG (Rondo) with Kobe for some experience over the next few years. But when push comes to shove I have to go with D Wade.

My list would be:

1. Wade

2. Kobe

3. Brandon Roy

4. Joe Johnson

5. Danny Granger

Are Tyreke Evans and Srephen Curry 1's or 2's? I have them as 2's because they will play the 2 if their teams draft Wall. I was wondering before I made my sg pick.

I'd call them 2's. And actually would have to put Evans at #5 in my SG rankings.

I wouldn't take Joe Johnson if you gave him to me.

I love Roy and like Granger's game, but I don't know if either are good enough to get you over the hump if you're starting a team.

So I guess it comes down to Kobe and DWade. I'm going to take Kobe for two reasons.

I think he's like Jordan and is going to be effective into his mid to late 30s. And I think DWade is going to lose his game quickly, because his is so much about athleticism. He's never really developed a consistent jumpshot, and he's already 28. Given the choice of Kobe at 36 or Dwade at 33 or 34 I'm going to take Kobe.

JMO, but I think Curry is going to develop into a very good PG. I think Evans is going to be a combo guy, and probably end up at the 2 as a poor man's DWade.

Are we using anything close to a salary cap? Basically what I am trying to say, is are we actually trying to build a solid NBA team, or an All-Star team. Personally I like the realism of an actual NBA type team, meaning its unrealistic to have your team loaded down with say Paul, Wade, James, Bosh, Howard. BUT, if that is what we are doing then it will change how I decide my team.

On a salary capped team, with Rondo already present as my PG, I would take a Joe Johnson or a Monte Ellis. On a fantasy/All-Star type team, give me D Wade.

If we're going salary capped give me:

A backcourt of Deron Williams and Steph Curry. They could play both positions, and DWill could guard the 2 guard on defense like Jason Kidd used to. Curry would be nasty off the ball with Williams I think.

I'll take Kobe. I agree with a lot of what CCC said and I think this playoff run so far has showed that Kobe can adapt his game and I can't see anyone I'd rather have.

As Bad ad i hate to pick him give me Kobe because of his all around game ,driving and creating ,shooting or Defense I go Kobe .
