Derby 136

I like Noble's Promise and Awesome Act. I was really high on Endorsement, but with the injury I am having to jump off the WinStar Farm ship.

My wife and I will be there Friday and Saturday. Sitting in Section 115.

We will be in 320 both days. Looking forward to a good time... :thumb:

I'm going with Ice Box, but my Derby picks haven't done so well since 1998.

From a look at the early Derby wagering, this is shaping up to be one of the most wide-open races in its history. Of the 20 entrants, all but one are between 7-1 and 25-1, with one horse at 41-1. Super Saver has gotten the most interest to be the soft 7-1 fave. Lookin' At Lucky is next at 9-1, and four others are at 11-1.

I think I'm going to go with Conveyance, a rep. for footing on a wet track.

Does anyone know where I can find past Derby payouts?

Anybody know how/where to get some reasonably priced tickets for tomorrow that are covered?

Should be somewhere at http://www.kentuckyderby.com.

If you sign up for the Daily Racing Form's site (http://www.drf.com — it's free), you can go to the Kentucky Derby section and look at the past winners. It has links to the race charts dating back to 2001, and lists the odds of all the past winners (you'll have to do your own math).

Will be playing multiple exactas and trifectas with 1, 2, 3, 6, and 16.

Maybe so, but the horse is the important factor, and Paddy O'Prado struggled mightily in his only start on the slop. Incidentally, that's his only start on dirt as well, which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence for me.

Thanks, I found what I was looking for.

His last workout on 4/23 was a bullet work (best out of 21), and it was on the sloppy track at Churchill Downs. This horse is sitting on a keg of dynamite, and will relish the wet track. Also has a very low dosage index which means he can get this distance with no problem.

Looking at Lucky is still at 8 to 1. I can not believe he has not been bet down more. Just too good a price to pass up. Horse may never be that long of odds ever again.
