Does a starter have a win yet?

Yes. Mike ( Kelly ) Leake got the W last Thursday night:thumb:

Not because of the W he got, but I have really enjoyed watching this kid pitch. I personally like the outlook on his future, I hope for big things come his third year and beyond. Right now I'll watch his starts and hope to see progress!

Berkman is batting .327 with 48 homers and 133 RBIs in 143 games against the Reds. The five-time All-Star has seven home runs and three doubles in 51 at-bats against Aaron Harang (0-3, 8.31 ERA)

The Reds’ ace is 12-34 with a 4.74 ERA since the start of 2008. He is 9-9 with a 4.79 ERA in 22 starts against the Astros.

I went .500 as well. Jim Schue was just brutal at 2-5.

Hey, I blame part of it on you for not letting me have the opening week thread. That uncertainty set the whole season off on the wrong foot. :D

Just in case anyone is wondering, the Reds will get to face Roy Oswalt in the series finale. Oswalt has been on fire lately and always brings his best against the Reds.

I wonder how him losing his house to the tornado will affect his mental state for the start.

Interesting, I hadn't even heard anything about that.

I'm not sure that mental state matters when you're 23-1 with a 2.58 ERA in 32 career games (30 starts) against a team.

Oswalt is 2-2 this year with a 2.42 ERA.

After losing to Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay in his first two starts, Oswalt is 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA in his previous two starts in wins over the Cubs and Pirates.

Oops, misread the headline. It was actually his parents' home.

Wow he actually has changed the lineup around some. I actually like the looks of this lineup much better than what he usually uses. The only thing I might have changed with this, was having Dickerson in for Stubbs. Stubbs has been really struggling.

If I didn't know better I would think Dusty was already fired by looking at this lineup card. Did he put this together? It almost makes sense. Why not switch Gomes and Cabrera?

Did anyone notice that they had Drew Stubbs giving baserunning pointers on the pregame show? You might want to make sure any youngsters skip the pregame from now on...
