If true, I am shocked and this is insanely sad. PANAMA CITY BEACH — One man is dead after falling from a balcony at a Days Inn on Front Beach Road. April 3, 201016 yr It certainly is a very sad situation. I had never heard of the young man, but it sure sounds like he had a very bright future ahead of him. My prayers go out to his family.

Not a lock but UC was right there with ND and OSU. He was a very quiet, respectful kid and while he wasn't great for a quote he was easy to deal with and a genuine good kid. This sucks...

WJHG-TV says Panama City Beach police say the teen fell at about 6:25 p.m. from a third-floor balcony of the Days Inn on Front Breach Road at Clara Avenue. According to the report, the teen died almost instantly. Police have not released the deceased’s identity, pending notification of family.

My parents never even questioned it much, that I recall. But now as a parent of an 18 year old, it seems ludicrous to let him go hundreds and hundreds of miles away with a bunch of other underage kids KNOWING that the primary events of the week are drinking (and possibly drugs), sex, and outlandish behavior. Baseball season or no, my son wasn't going. We were more than prepared to let him throw his fit and call us the most unreasonable parents in the world. He's called us it many times previous and we somehow survived.
April 3, 201016 yr My children will not be going on spring break un-supervised. My wife and I were dating her senior year in high school. We went on her senior spring break together to Panama City. Her best fried, a guy that I didn't care for whatsoever, was down there at that same time, and we were supposed to meet up with him the Sunday of Spring Break down there. As we're getting ready the phone rings in our hotel room, and it's my now mother-in-law, informing me that Donnie (her best friend), had died the night before of a drug overdose. He took a handful of Delotid and was drinking hard liquor that Saturday night.....he went to sleep, and never woke up......I was the one that had to tell my girlfriend (now wife) that her best friend had just died .......horrifically tragic.
