March 31, 201016 yr A lot more women have been showing up at the local range... Some even entering the competitions and doing quite well...Shooting is one sport that men and women can compete on an equal level... One lady friend of mine destroyed all the guys in the Dum-Dum shoot a couple of weekends ago...
March 31, 201016 yr I've got time.... Well if that were to happen, until I can justify spending on one, which I can't as I'm trying to purchase a house, then I guess I'm just out of luck at the moment. Not sure what point you're trying to prove...
March 31, 201016 yr Exactly the way I feel. I can only assume that alas, there is nothing I can do to redeem myself. I get frustrated with any Liberal, as I'm sure they do with me. I do not have a bad opinion of you. We do not need stricter gun laws............
March 31, 201016 yr One reason I'm for tougher gun laws. I hope this man is charged with manslaughter, or something even more serious. This child's mother had told him to remove the guns from the house 2 weeks ago. RM, I am going the other end of the spectrum on this (surprised?). How about improved gun training for our youth? Safe sex is taught to protect our kids. So, how about safe gun handling for all kids? Mandatory training in the schools.
March 31, 201016 yr It would only be neglected and abandoned. I'm really not a good candidate at all for parent of a gun. I could be the foster parent for you. I would take very good care of it.

This child's mother had told him to remove the guns from the house 2 weeks ago. Punish the owner by all means. Don't punish those of us who have never had a problem.
March 31, 201016 yr Who cares if she told him to remove the guns? They weren't hers. 12 and 14 year old boys should be smart enough to know not to play with guns IMO. If not, evolution in action.
March 31, 201016 yr My fiancee wants a gun. I don't feel safe riding in a car with her so I really don't want her to own a weapon.I plan on buying her a BB gun, telling her it's a riffle that shoots micro bullets and see where it gets me.
March 31, 201016 yr That's OK. I think you should concentrate on those who actually will take care of their guns, and take them on excursions. I'm more likely to put it up somewhere where I won't forget it....then forget where I put it. Face it....some of us are the shooters, and some of us are targets. I'm a born target. And some of us.... Are both!
March 31, 201016 yr I have never quite understood why someone needs to carry a concealed weapon, unless of course it is to combat another someone else who is carrying a weapon. I know I'll catch some heat on BGP for that, but I have never understood it, nor do I have any desire to own a gun. For hunting purposes, I understand. But to carry a concealed weapon? I don't get it. I own one gun right now, just waiting to pick up the other. I grew up with a police officer as a step father, and not just a police officer but also someone who graduated from the FBI academy. I've learned alot from him and other officers throughout my way. I have a concealed carrying permit and am a double major in CJ and Poly Sci; and have certainly started to use that permit as of late. I live in Latonia, KY, about a block from a whole lot of 200,000+ homes, however, it's the ones on my street and in the near area that I worry about. There were I believe over 50 break ins this past winter, the Subway 2 blocks up was robbed at gun point and I've seen some other stuff that made my jaw drop, oh I almost forgot the house next door was roobed last Wednesday which I thought was pretty brave because well let just say we stay up late, and we're pretty vocal that we don't care for people that break the law particularly drugs and robbery. I live with 3 room mates 1 of which owns a gun other than me. The more bad stuff I hear, the happier I am that I can have my gun on me in most places I venture down this way which is honestly the only time I usually even think about it. We all grew up in Independence, definitely the southern end so I guess some of you would consider us country folk but regardless we're safe and prepared that's for sure. FYI, when the burglaries were happening throughout Latonia and it was at about 1 per day I started clearing out the house one room at a time for a while with the pistol. We never got robbed, I kind of wonder if that why sometimes.
March 31, 201016 yr Protection from....other people with handguns? Generally people tend to do crime in numbers of mroe than one. It's generally not a solo routine. I've very rarely entered an area where my thought of using my gun have even crossed my mind. However there have been times where I've thought wow I'd feel alot more safe if I had a gun to level the playing field IFFFFF something were to transpire, those situations are generally times where I've felt that someone has threatened others around me, and usually with more than just bare hand assualt or more than one individual. Those are the times that I'd feel more comfortable with a gun. It's not like people that have or carry guns want to draw them every time someone punches them in the face or threatens to. Believe me that type of person is VERY UNLIKELY to have a concealed carrier permit. Now a gun that's a different story, but then again I bet the last drug dealer that shot the last guy he shot didn't own his gun legally.....

March 31, 201016 yr Author Protection from....other people with handguns?Or 4 or 5 thugs wanting to do you serious harm, this kind of thing happens quite often. There are dozens upon dozens of other reasons as well. The others don't have to have guns to do you harm.
March 31, 201016 yr Author Punish the owner by all means. Don't punish those of us who have never had a problem.:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
March 31, 201016 yr Awesome news!!! Way to go ladies. I do not think gun ownership is for everyone but the right to own or not to own is!!!!!! I hope nothing bad ever happense to this country EVER! But if it ever does, people will not be protected by their right to vote, or the right to speak freely......but by the barrels of the guns they own! Only armed society's are truly free.
