To go even further, 7 of Ryle's 11 interceptions on the year were by underclassmen as well.

 

Ryle's defense is going to be pretty solid this year, to say the least.

I also like what they have in the system but don't know how much Elliott will play on D. Probably a 3rd down specialist.

 

This year may be different, but in the second game against Highlands last year, I think he played both ways the entire game. Some will say that might have played a role in him gaining less than a 100 yds in that game, and they may be right, but I think Highlands D had a bigger role than him playing both ways.

Seniors are always difficult to replace, especially ones who have had an enormous impact on their team. But Ryle has improved numbers and depth and I believe they will be better defensively, despite losing the aforementioned seniors. Mace is a tackling machine

Yeah it's really going to depend on the game and situation. I spoke to coach Woolf (the D coord for Ryle) last year and asked him if he would play D early on and he told me quote "no way, the kid does too much can't wear him out." But then he tried him at it and he didn't miss a beat. Elliott is certainly a gamer. I know he would try to go both ways the whole game if he could.

Arguably the most difficult Raider to replace. With that being said, look for a very strong, fast, and athletic group of seniors in the Raider secondary.

Lonkard just might be the best athlete on Ryle's team, outside of Deion Mullins.

 

He's the type of kid that can play any skill position on the field.
