Built around West is partially true, but it will still be the same offense at Conner for years to come.

 

 

You also cannot base Ryle being balanced on the numbers the last couple of years. Even though they were lining up in the shotgun it was still the same running plays. It just looked sexier and progressive, IMO.

Not sure about that, and I have a vested interest in both.

 

The only reason I say that is because as the season progresses Ryle IMO will become more and more of the traditional Ryle power run game team, much like they did last year.

 

I do not think the staff is comfortable airing it out to any degree. I feel they think the risk far out ways the reward. With the backfield and OL they have who could argue with them.

 

I think Hempel would put up huge numbers in a passing offense. I do not mean a throw to the open guy offense, either. He has all the talent one could ask for that is for sure. For all the talent he has, he is an even better young man and teammate.

It'll be interesting to see who is slated to become Hempel's successor and how that effects Ryle's offensive game plan.

Ryles running game got shut down against SK. I seen West play as a JR and he impressed me more than Hempel.

As far as Hempel this past season and this upcoming season he will be a caretaker of the offense. Now does he have the ability to be the main focus, ABSOLUTELY!

 

To pick on over the other is really splitting hairs. They both would thrive as well if they were to switch uniforms and play on the opposite team.

Someone mentioned that this is Ryle's deepest senior class this centrury. Don't forget they also have a loaded sophomore class that will be juniors this year and will have depth all over the field with an extremely talented freshman class coming up as well.

I think some folks are going to be surprised at how much bigger Conner Hempel is next season. He's now about 210 pounds. I was told he played last year in the 175 180 range.
