Why wouldn't Kansas be ahead of Kentucky? Same amount of titles as Kentucky. I presume more wins in that amount of time as well.

 

Because I am biased. The only thing I know for sure that since 1985, Duke has been the best program in college basketball. (GOD, that hurt to say again).

I'll be interested to see if those win totals are accurate... My methods weren't exactly scientific. :lol:

I think you would have to have Kansas ahead of Kentucky even though they have the same number of titles because Kan. has 2 more final 4's and more win during that period.

Kansas has not had any terrible seasons like every other school mentioned, which is a huge accomplishment in itself. Kansas has also had some disappointing losses in the NCAA tournament though (eg. Northern Iowa, Bucknell, Bradley, etc.)

So 3wishes accounts for one of those votes for Kentucky and he's explained himself and ultimately changed his mind after he saw the numbers...

I would guess the person that started the thread was the other UK vote. I was the first person to respond to the thread there was only the one vote for UK when I first checked it.

Kansas and UK both landed on NCAA probation during the time period if you want to consider those stats as well...

I think its obviously Duke, but if they went to 11 final fours and only won 3 titles, does that constitute choking? Even though it doesn't change their place on this last 25 years list.
