I don't think Florida really did much except for a few couple years, they were pretty non-existant for a while, weren't they?

I would say that UConn definitely should be up here. Michigan State probably too, but Michigan State may just be the team of the last ten years.

Kentucky -- 4 Final Fours, 2 championships, 645 wins.

Duke -- 11 Final Fours, 3 championships, 708 wins.

North Carolina -- 9 Final Fours, 3 championships, 637 wins.

Kansas -- 5 final fours, 2 championships, 707 wins.

I believe these numbers to be correct (starting with the 85-86 season)... And that means it's Duke and it's not debatable.

Couple typos

Duke. The real question should be who has been the second most successful program the past 25 years.

3 titles.

Numerous #1 seeds

5 title game appearances

Really only had one horrendous season.

UNC would be second, in my book. They've had a few dreadful seasons sprinkled in there.

That would have to be the logical choice. 1985 - 2010.

11 Final Fours (86, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 94, 99, 01, 04, 10)

3 Titles (91, 92, 01)

3 Runner's Up (86, 90, 94)

Having a hard time seeing how an unbiased fan would say UK on this...

I shouldn't have voted yet, I suppose.

It is hard to know stats for all those teams.

I can never remember who the last years winner was the following year.

Maybe someone can post Kansas and Dukes #'s so we can see the difference.

Here is the breakdown and you can decide.

Duke 11 final fours 3 titles

NC 11 final fours 3 titles

Kentucky 5 final fours 2 titles

Kansas 6 final fours 3 titles.

That is pretty even. but IMO opinion I would give Duke the nod because NC has not made the tournament for I think 3 of these 25 years.

As bad as it hurts me to rank these but if you do only on the stats and not your heart it would go like this.

1. Duke

2. North Carolina

3. Kansas

4. Kentucky

Honorable Mentions: Syracuse, UConn, Michgan State.

Kansas only has titles in '88 and '08

As I said, the debate for #2 is more interesting.

Kentucky -- 4 Final Fours, 2 championships, 645 wins.

Duke -- 12 Final Fours, 3 championships, 708 wins.

North Carolina -- 9 Final Fours, 3 championships, 637 wins.

Kansas -- 5 final fours, 2 championships, 707 wins.

I believe these numbers to be correct (starting with the 85-86 season)... And that means it's Duke and it's not debateable.

You are right. It is not debatable.

UK is dead last on this list.

WOW, we are in a drought at UK.:sssh:

Its Duke. They have been the best program. Kansas IMO has probably been the most consistent program. Those are definitly the 4 best programs during that time. I wonder how many Elite 8s each has been to during the past 25 years? I think during the last 25 years UK has made it to the Elite 8 and got beaten out.

You can go to a site called bracketville.tripod.com and see every bracket from the inception of the 64 team bracket in 1985 through this years bracket and see what your favorite team may have been seeded in any of those years.

Here is the breakdown and you can decide.

Duke 11 final fours 3 titles

NC 11 final fours 3 titles

Kentucky 5 final fours 2 titles

Kansas 6 final fours 3 titles.

Help me out here...

I've got Dean Smith with 4 Final Fours, Guthridge with 2, and Roy Williams with 3... Where did you get 11?

Did I overlook some somewhere?

Kansas has 6 Final Fours, I did a misread.

Larry Brown - 2

Roy Williams - 3

Bill Self - 1

That would have to be the logical choice. 1985 - 2010.

11 Final Fours (86, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 94, 99, 01, 04, 10)

3 Titles (91, 92, 01)

3 Runner's Up (86, 90, 94)

That stretch right there is pretty amazing. 7 Final Fours in 9 years.
