March 29, 201016 yr Not true of many places. And it won't be true here either, as the "mom and pop" restaurants are excluded. If the true goal was to get nutritional information into the hands of the consumers, why is it that a certain bunch are excluded from having to participate?
March 29, 201016 yr Maybe putting this info on the menu boards will result in fewer fatties on airplanes sucking up the thin people's space.
March 29, 201016 yr Author Not true of many places.Pretty much true of darn near anyplace I wanted to eat that was a chain.

March 29, 201016 yr After looking at pictures on another website of some of the posters in this thread including me , it is obvious that this provision of the health care bill is something whose time has come . I just hope that those involved including me use it wisely . It looks like a lot of us could eat healthier .
March 29, 201016 yr Author How can you be"responsible" when the necessary information is withheld from you? :lol:See, this is what amazes me so much, common sense is out the window these days, people act as if they can't figure out what's good or what's bad for you. "I need my daily influence of big government to help me through my daily routines". :ohbrother:
March 29, 201016 yr I tell you what...hole up in your fortified house with your 2nd Ammendment paraphanalia, board up the windows and get out the tin foil. They're coming to get you, RTS! :scared:
March 29, 201016 yr And sometimes, what people think is healthy, is not. HOW IS MORE KNOWLEDGE TO MAKE AND INFORMED DECISION EVER A BAD THING. I don't think it's a bad thing. If you want the information, you should be able to get it. Many restaurants already provide the information on tray liners and/or posters. But to go the extreme of having restaurants redesign menus...there's more important things going on this country that need to be addressed IMO.

I just hope that those involved including me use it wisely .Oh yeah, how in the world did all those Americans successfully lose weight all these past years without the intervention of big government? :idunno:

March 29, 201016 yr Not true of many places. Care to share which ones do not make this information accessible to the public?
March 29, 201016 yr Yeah, that's right, "you don't agree with me so I'll call you paranoid". Mature... And you can't joke about anything. I'm not going to stop having fun in life because the government requires calories on a menu board at Wendy's. But, if you want to be sullen, miserable and cranky, by all means suit yourself. Just don't come to me when life goes on as normal for the rest of us.

Yeah, cause that's what I said, I don't want to have fun. Honestly, RM, I doubt very seriously that you were joking at all, it's all good though, I've come to expect it. I'm not cranky either, just seems that was more of a personal attack than humor. If I'm wrong, I apologize.
