Brian Caudill is dominating. Tyler Farley is throwing better then I have ever seen him throw, he seems to be as mature as he is. He's playing like a senior QB. Marcus Reed seems focused, he has stepped his game up. The race for the three open linemen positions is still wide open, several working hard for them, but still up in the air.

 

IF we can keep the blockers off him at the Middle Linebacker position, he should dominate. Marcus Reed and Tyler Farley have really impressed me, too. I believe Marcus Reed is the most versatile and talented player on our team. I am looking for great things from him this year. Farley looks great and appears to be more confident in the leadership role. I believe the coaching staff has been doing a wonderful job in putting the boys in a postion to do well. I am very impressed with what I have seen so far. With Team Camp in progress, I guess "Meet The Rams" Friday night will tell us more.

I didn't realize anyone was taking pictures of me in my jeep.

 

Here's the story, Raceland has some good players, but are going to need a team to win games. Will that happen, I hope is does, but we have a lot of work to do. There are some great individuals right now, but individuals do not win football games and football championships - great teams do. Team camp is underway, and by weeks end we will have the contenders separated from the pretenders.

 

On a good note: at lunch at team camp today, there were a lot of bruises on players. Hard work, dedication, and self-sacrifice. That is what is needed for this Raceland team.

Anyone see how our lines are looking? Anymore kids stepping it up to want to win a spot?

I thought they looked good overall, QB may need some work, but really impressed by some underclassman stepping up and making some big plays!

But, having said that, if they continue to progress a little bit each week then i think the young Rams will get where they need to be by the time district rolls around. Right now the biggest thing i saw was kids needing to listen & focus on what the coaches are telling them. If they do this then they will improve week-to-week.

 

Ram, I still think we'll need ALOT of Cinnamon hard candy on top of the pressbox this year!!!

My first thought was wow this many people showed up for what essentially was a suped-up practice. The biggest thing on the field that stood out to me was that the WR's need to catch the ball first. I thought the running game looked pretty soild and with several capable bodies to step in and give quality yardage if called upon.
